Uno de los inconvenientes al momento de comunicarse en inglés es la falta de vocabulario. Es posible que comprendas lo que te dicen pero a veces no encuentras las palabras para expresarte. Una forma de enriquecer tu vocabulario es haciendo una lista en donde anotes poco a poco palabras nuevas que vas conociendo e intenta usarlas en una oración. Si eres constante tendrás un banco de palabras muy amplio.
Create a list full of vocabulary
One of the inconvenients when communicating in english is the lack of vocabulary. You may understand what people say to you but sometimes you don’t find the words to express yourself. A way to enrich your vocabulary is by creating a list where you write down new words as they get on your way, then try to use them in a sentence. Si en cambio te llaman la atención las revistas, podrías buscar en internet las ediciones que hayan en otros países de habla inglesa como Estados Unidos o Inglaterra. Por ejemplo, si lees revistas como Cosmopolitan, puedes intentar comprar la edición norteamericana y darle un vistazo. Lo bueno de esto es que incluso puedes acceder a artículos o entrevistas únicas.

If you are interested in reading, you can grab a book or magazine in english. You may have a favorite book that was originally written in english but you choose to buy the spanish edition. This is your opportunity to read again that story you love but in english. What’s interesting is that you may encounter details that have been possibly modified in its spanish version. In the other hand, if you are a magazine person you could search on Internet for english editions of your favorite magazine in countries like USA or England. For example, if you like Cosmopolitan, you can try buying the north American edition and check it out. What’s even better, you can also get access to unique articles or interviews.

Otra técnica que puedes implementar es cambiando la configuración de idioma de tus dispositivos electrónicos. Intenta usar tu celular o computadora en inglés al menos por una semana y observa cómo te desempeñas.

Another technique you can implement is switching your device’s language from spanish to english. Try to use your cell phone or computer in english at least for a week and see how you do. This way you force yourself to adapt to this new language.
